Push me aside and let me drown
You would never know I was even there
Pouring out heart and soul for a glance my way
Let everything fade and dissipate
There was no water to douse the flame
We loved, we laughed, I grew
I seem to have left you in your place
The light has died, no warmth to face
You wouldn’t know it, couldn’t comprehend
How much I loved you in the time we shared
It was too late when you found my hand and held it dear
