Jade dreamed of warm days, salt air and cool breezes. She was a child again being held and rocked. Sweet voices filled the air with a gentle lullaby and she felt loved. In her mind she could almost see the faces of the women who cared for her. Jade wanted to remember and she tried hard but their songs just made her want to sleep. Jade drifted deeper into her dream state.
Jade woke to the chiming of the boats bell. There must be another ship passing close by. She let her eyes adjust to the darkness of the cabin. It must already be night and she had sleep most of the day away. She stretch and yawned. It had been along time since she had felt so relaxed. Water had always had a very calming effect on her and the waves always made her sleep so soundly. Jade sat on the bed with her knees pulled tight to her chest and let the images from her dream play through her mind. She was starting to realize that her dreams where mostly memories but not ones that she lived. Had she truly lived many lives and been reborn again and again. Jade decided when they returned from the trip she would read Yassim’s letter. Pretending it was not there would not make it go away.
Jade got out of bed and grabbed the wrap she had gotten in Hawaii out of the drawer. She had admired the purple and while wrap. Jade had been so surprised and happy when her husband had bought it as a gift for her on their honeymoon. It had been one of the few things that she requested Vic to send to her at the dungeon. Jade smile at the memories. She had spent most of her honeymoon either in the wrap or nothing at all. Jade tied the wrap around her waist. It fell seductively to her ankles exposing a good part of her thigh. Jade giggled she truly looked like a bare breasted island girl.
Jade went topside. She was excited to see the stars. Nothing was as breathtaking as the stars at sea.
Jade reached the deck and inhaled the sea breeze. She always felt alive on the water. Jade went ahead to the bow of the boat. Mist from the ocean gently sprayed her face as she held the rail and took in the view. She would have probably picked the sea if it was not for the fact that the sun burned her so easily. SPF60 was going to be her best friend on this trip.
Jade stood mesmerized by the beauty and vanishes of the sea. Without even knowing Jade started to sing songs that where buried deep in her memories. They honored the sea and where song to ensure their journey would be safe and blessed. Jade only realized she had been singing when her throat started to hurt. Jade grumbled to herself. She was tired of wigging out. One of these days it was going to get her in trouble. Her annoyance was quickly forgotten as she heard the voices of the dolphins. Dolphins had always been a sign of hope for her. Jade was sure she had made the right decision about coming on the cruise. Jade was like a child as she watched the pod run alongside the boat.
