I do remember one story that was part of a set. I do not remember the location. I thought that it was quite interesting. It was set in England and was about a woman who was given by her husband to a black master. The first part had her taken into the master's home where a leech was produced and placed on her nipple. At that point the fun began. Leech attached. arms penned and lady dancing furiously in an effort to dislodge the hungry border.

Leeches were used by barbers to bleed people in the days when that was considered a viable treatment for disease states. Immagine being leeched for anemia <G>. As long as they have not been used by anyone who has a disease that can be passed by IV of blood, they should be an innocuous form of abuse. The leech does not cause pain while biting or sucking. It has been used successfully by surgeons to reduce swelling and bruising. They are great for decreasing the black in the black eye.

A good move for leeches was with Humphry Bogart. He and his heroine are infested by leeches when they wade through a swamp while trying to move the "Queen", his boat, from a river to a lake. Acting was great. I really flinched when they two reacted to finding all those leeches under their clothing.
