i hope this wont sound bad somehow but looking at this general conversation as a whole... looking at all the thought that went into these answers (or more likely was done long before), people taking into account the human want to be the best of the best, etc, adding that into the equasion to come up with a balanced answer before saying anything.. *L*.. ask this question at a website for vanillas and see what kind of answers you get *smile*. i think this answers the question on it's own.

i seem to recall there has been a study done and it found that BDSM people are often smarter than average. which makes perfect sense to me- BDSM/DS is about the mind. gotta have one in order to enjoy stimulating it.

i do agree about people tending to want to prove their niche is the best and the coolest, etc, but wanting to believe it doesnt change what is or isnt true. the tendancy to slant that way doesnt make it false. i think our lot is smarter as a whole (though that's gone down a bit as we've become more main stream). but then who says being the smartest is the same as being the best? there are quirks and disadvantages that can come with being smarter than most. and to be smarter than the average person is not to say that the average person is worse or stupid or perhaps even superior in some other way.

anyways, my disability is not in my intelligence but my good days and bad days effect the overall functionality of my brain as an organ... so where that leaves me on a given day IQ wise is anybody's guess *wry smile*. ive had a whole range of test scores, most of them unofficial. i was mildly horrified to get 100 once, but i was very unwell that day *L*. on my most recent casual one i think i got 129. ive not had the proper administered by the shrink sort that i recall (i have memory problems so who knows. maybe when i was a kid?) but i did take a test that was purchased and i believe that was the same test as the written part of official one it just didnt count without the official to give it. i got a 140 on that one. i got a 160 on one once, which i think was the official one too but i cant remember the circumstances for that one, so... *shrug*.

so im not sure how to answer the poll in that case as mine werent given by mensa or a shrink which i believe are the only fully official ones so... pass, but theres my ramblings anyways *Smile*
