I tried to post a visitor message this afternoon(my first day) and it told me I could not perform this function. It said to refresh the page and log in again. I was logged in on each occasion and when I went back to the home page it had logged me out again. I was doing this to save PMing people. Can anyone help me please?

Try checking the "remember me" box when you log in...the site reads cookies and has to remember you from page to page.

My private messages are doing the same thing. I'm recieving email notices of the private message, with the person's message to me in the email, but no writing in the message. Maybe theres a glitch in the system.

Hummm no words in our posts

When I'm on the forum, I cannot see writing of any private messages I have saved in my box, or any posts or visitor messages I've made after a certain time. Yet, I can click on a post in the "Find all posts option" and see some writing. I also cannot see anyone else's posts after a certain time. Others claim they arent having this problem. Is there work being done, or a glitch in the forum? Someone said they think its my computer. I changed my homepage, and went and posted on the foot site I belong to, and everything seems fine there.

Any info would be appreciated. This is really weird. Thank you.

Can not see the text of some of the/my post on the "banned question" thread. Looked at my options and settings but can not see what is wrong.
What setting must I change to read all texts?

Don't know if it was the glitch or because I did not do the "remember me" bit, but it is working now - thanks to all of you for that

There is indeed text missing here and there in different posts from different users. Only the smileys remain. But when you click "quote" the text is still there, so it is not completely gone, just not showing.

Even some posts are completely missing if I'm not mistaking... or maybe the post was just deleted by it's writer and it's just a coincidence.

New here ( be gentle - for a while at least ) but was wondering about the posts with missing text. It makes more sense now, so that's one question answered already.

When I log out it states that I have logged out and all cookies are clear.

But when I come back to bdsmlibrary.com... I'm automatically logged in and it's like I never logged out.

Any ideas?

Try uncheck the 'remember me' box. (I think.)

I was thinking that... but I don't know how to get back to that box. Is there a way presuming I accidentally checked it off at some point?

logoff and immediately logon again without checking the box... it's a checkbox next to the logon dialogue.

Then try your logout (and leaving) and later return to see if that's the problem.

Otherwise, you might also try cleaning out all your cookies and browsing history... but I for one, hate doing that as ALL of you automated logins will have to be refreshed... so you better know all your passwords everywhere you go.

Thank you for your suggestion. i just tried it, and it appeared as if I logged in... but the reality is once I log out, leave www.bdsmlibrary.com, and then come back.. there's no log in needed... just a 'welcome, orchidsoul'! haha

Last evening I posted yet another message re: Troubles Logging On, and yet, tonight all is well.

I'm on a different forum that seems to use the same coding, and on that one the User CP shows all threads I've posted in that have new activity since my last post. It's an easy way to keep track of the threads I'm participating in.

Ever since I joined this forum, the User CP always says "no subscribed threads". Do I have to manually subscribe to threads even if I post in them?
